DESCRIPTION:We have been receiving many emails and phone calls regarding the Pockets&Sockets 7v7 lacrosse tournament that we hold every year in Delray to benefit a  local lacrosse player – Mikey Stolzenberg. \nMikey has decided to take a break for 2015 – but still would like us to “play for a purpose”. After thinking about the many charities we could play for and support…we decided that no matter our age\, or our team or our background so many of us have been affected by cancer…this is exactly what we needed to play for. \n“Clash for Cancer” will take place Saturday\, May 9th at Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray… the same weekend and date we always have Pockets&Sockets. We will have teams bracketed by age – U9-HS. It should be a great day filled with some great 7v7 lacrosse! \nThis is a wonderful event for any and all recreation teams\, middle school teams\, HS teams\, travel teams\, or even a team of friends to enter where you are playing for charity. The cost for the event is $650…we have worked hard to keep the cost low so it is affordable for all. We can actually do that thanks to the generosity of our lacrosse community. We have people donating balls and paint and field space. We even have the referees volunteering their time…what a great way for the lacrosse community to come together to give back…just like we have done for Mikey. \nEmail floridabolgers@bellsouth.net to register a team for “Clash for Cancer” or if you have any questions about the event itself.
