Tonight at 8:30 Syracuse plays Michigan in the Women’s D1 Championship game on ESPNU. The pictures above and below are from a year ago when the Syracuse women paid a visit to the Seacrest Soccer Complex in Delray Beach. The Lady Orange (is that correct Coach Finn?) were engaging and very giving with their time as the photos show. FLN is rooting for them. Sorry, Maryland. Get some Floridians on your team – we are easily swayed!
Today’s Division 3 final featuring Tufts against Salisbury guarantees at least two Floridians will be crowned national champions! The players are shown below and we look forward to hearing their stories. From what we can tell, the game will not be televised on any of ESPN’s networks, but it will be available on the NCAA video link. The game will be played Sunday, May 25 at 1:00.Click here for the Live Feed of Salisbury vs. TuftsSalisbury31 Chas Moody, Vero Beach35 Davis Anderson, Lake Highland Prep40 Griffin Melzer46 Lex Linxwiler, BooneTufts30 Colby Kempe, Benjamin (above)34 Cem Kalkavan, St. Andrew’s The D2 final of LIU Post vs. Limestone has two Floridians on Post’s team:47 Nick Zebouni, Ponte Vedra55 Brendan Walker, Cardinal NewmanGame time is set for 4:00pm on Sunday and will be available via NCAA’s live feed.Click here for the video link to LIU Post vs. Limestone Click here for Jay Jalbert’s video produced for ESPN In the Division 1 final (Monday at 1:00 on ESPN2), we know we will have more Floridians as champions:Duke32 Tripp Transou, Maclay43 Calder Alfano, Boca Raton (Calder is injured and will not play) Notre Dame7 Mike Shepherdson, St. Andrew’s48 Garrett Epple, Calvert Hall (former Boca Jet)
