IWLCA Polls for 3/19: Gators Still #6 in D1, FSC #1, FIT #5, Rollins at #11 and Tampa Rises to #15 in D2!

 via the IWLCA press releases 2018 IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll – March 19, 2018 Stony Brook (7-0) took all but one first-place vote this week to remain at the top of the Division I Coaches Poll. Maryland (6-1) and Boston College (10-0) sit tight at numbers two and three, while James Madison (8-0) and North Carolina (6-2) flip flop at the fourth and fifth positions. Florida (6-2) and Syracuse (5-2) remain at six and seven, while Penn (7-0) moves into the eighth spot, Virginia (6-2) drops to nine, and Loyola (5-2) takes the last spot in the top ten. High Point (4-2) is the only new team in the poll this week, landing at #25 after knocking off last week’s #21, Notre Dame (5-5), who falls out of the rankings but is still receiving votes.Penn State (#18) kicks off the week in Top-25 action on Monday, when they host #16 Princeton, followed by Syracuse (#7) at Cornell (#21) on Tuesday. The mid-week matchups continue on Wednesday, as #14 Towson visits #6 Florida, Georgetown (#24) hosts #10 Loyola, #2 Maryland faces Penn (#8) and #4 James Madison squares off against in-state rival Virginia (#9). The Nittany Lions are back in action on Thursday when they tangle with #22 Johns Hopkins before the weekend’s slate begins with these Saturday games: #5 North Carolina at Boston College (#3); Virginia at #20 Duke; Georgetown at (#6) Florida; #4 James Madison at Maryland; and Syracuse at Notre Dame (RV). The lone Top-25 game on Sunday will take place on the west coast when USC (#13) travels to #19 Stanford for a Pac-12 matchup.

 2018 IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll – March 19, 2018 Florida Southern (9-0) collected 23 of 25 first place votes to land at number one in this week’s Division II Coaches Poll. Adelphi (5-1), Lindenwood (10-0), Le Moyne (5-0), and Florida Tech (9-0) all held their spot in the top five this week. Limestone (7-1) remains at number six, while LIU Post (4-2) and New Haven (3-1) flipped spots at numbers seven and eight and Indianapolis (5-1) and Mercy (6-1) did the same at nine and ten.New Haven (#8) hosts #2 Adelphi, New York Tech (#19) travels to #15 Tampa, and #22 Mercyhurst welcomes #16 Indiana (PA) on Tuesday to kick off the week’s Top-25 action. Assumption (#25) hosts #10 Mercy on Thursday, while Pace (#12) takes on #4 Le Moyne in a critical Northeast-10 matchup, and #6 Limestone and Rollins (#11) square off in a non-conference tilt on Friday. The weekend’s action includes: Florida Tech (#5) against top-ranked Florida Southern; Merrimack (#21) versus New Haven; and #3 Lindenwood at McKendree (RV).
