via IWLCA press releases 2019 IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll – February 25, 2019 Boston College (4-0) again claimed the number one ranking in the regular season Division I Coaches Poll, capturing all but one first place votes. Maryland (3-0) sits tight in the second spot after winning an overtime thrill against #3 North Carolina (3-1) yesterday. Syracuse (4-1) slides into the fourth position after taking down Northwestern in overtime on Sunday, bumping the Wildcats (3-1) back to number five. The back half of the top ten features two new names, as Virginia (4-0) moves up to #7 and Denver (4-0) follows at eight after an 11-7 defeat of Stony Brook (1-1), who drops to tenth. James Madison (3-1) moves up on spot to sit in sixth, and Penn State (3-0) improves their rank from tenth to eighth.Top-25 action on tap during the week features #9 Denver hosting Michigan (#T-20) on Tuesday, Georgetown (#18) at #16 Johns Hopkins, #8 Penn State at #14 Princeton, and #13 Loyola at Syracuse (#4) on Wednesday. The weekend kicks off on Friday when top-ranked Boston College hosts #24 USC and #23 Towson hosts Stony Brook (#10). Saturday’s games include Penn State at Loyola, Florida (#11) at #17 Navy, #5 Northwestern at North Carolina (#3), and #7 Virginia at Syracuse. The only Top-25 game on Sunday will take place on Long Island, as Stony Brook hosts #22 Stanford.

2019 IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll – February 25, 2019 Le Moyne College (0-0) tops the first regular season IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll with 21 first place votes. The Dolphins will open the 2019 campaign this weekend when they welcome the eleventh ranked University of Indianapolis Greyhounds (2-0) to town. Adelphi (2-0) holds strong in the number two position after picking up wins against #15 Florida Tech (1-2) and #3 Florida Southern (1-1) on the road. Lindenwood (3-0) and West Chester (1-0) round out the top five in this week’s poll. Tampa (3-1) was this week’s big mover, jumping from #19 into a tie for #11 on the strength of a 20-11 win over Limestone (3-1).There are several top-25 games on tap this week, including a matchup between #10 Mercy and #20 New Haven on Wednesday. The weekend’s action features #7 East Stroudsburg at Adelphi, LIU Post (#6) at #24 Bentley, Tampa at #9 Regis, and #22 Tiffin at Mercyhurst (#17).
