McArdle Named MLL Offensive Player of the Week: 2016 MLL Awards and Updates: Week 12

via press release Kieran McArdle, Matt Dunn, and Ryan Brown Earn Week 12 Awards Warrior Offensive Player of the WeekKieran McArdle exploded Thursday night and tallied seven goals and three assists for the Launch. His impressive performance led his team to their second victory of the season over the New York Lizards. McArdle continued to be an offensive threat with a six-point performance (2G, 4A) on Saturday against the Bayhawks. Warrior Defensive Player of the WeekRookie Matt Dunn played tough defense for the Rattlers on Saturday when they came back from an early deficit against the Hounds to win 18-14. Dunn picked up three groundballs in the win. Cascade Rookie of the WeekRyan Brown scored six goals for the Charlotte Hounds in the losing effort against Rochester. This is the second time this rookie out of Johns Hopkins has earned this award and he continues to stand out each week. Florida Launch 20New York Lizards 19Florida pulled off a shocking win over the dominant Lizards this past weekend in New York territory. Kieran McArdle and Owen Blye commanded most of the action in the offensive end and led their team to an exciting victory. Coca-Cola Player of the Game: Kieran McArdle Denver Outlaws 18Atlanta Blaze 11Eight different Denver players scored including three hat tricks which resulted in a huge win for the Outlaws. Denver has been able to capitalize on each of their last three home games and are slowly making their way up that playoff ladder. Coca-Cola Player of the Game: Wes Berg Chesapeake Bayhawks 14Florida Launch 13Florida was unable to pull off their second win of the weekend against the Bayhawks and suffered an upsetting one-goal loss. Matt Donovan led Chesapeake with four goals while Steve Pontrello and Kieran McArdle led the Florida offense but it was not enough to hold off the Bayhawks 4th quarter comeback. Coca-Cola Player of the Game: Matt Donovan Rochester Rattlers 18Charlotte Hounds 14Rochester recovered from an upsetting loss last week against the Cannons and outscored the Charlotte Hounds earning them their sixth win of the season. John Galloway made 16 saves between the pipes and held off the Hounds to earn them this much needed victory. Coca-Cola Player of the Game: Ned Crotty Ohio Machine 17Boston Cannons 15After three losses in a row, Ohio is finally back on track and pulled out a win over the Cannons this past Friday night. David Emala scored a notable five goals for the Cannons however hat tricks from Marcus Holman, John Grant Jr., Peter Baum, Kyle Harrison, and Tom Schreiber proved to be too much to handle and earned the Machine this victory.
