1. Lake Highland Prep (Fla.), 20-3 The Highlanders successfully defended their Florida High School Athletic Association state title and claimed their third championship in four years. They were 19-1 against in-state competition, losing only to Jupiter in a close one March 1. Lake Highland’s other losses were by a combined four points against nationally-ranked McDonogh (Md.) and No. 1 Boys’ Latin (Md.).
